Identification: Forewing crossed by pale and dark brown stripes. Two basal stripes silvery white; outer two stripes silvery white only toward costa. Hindwing pale grayish brown.
Wing Span: 1-1.8 cm.
Life History:
Flight: Late April-June and August to October. Two broods.
Caterpillar Hosts: Unrecorded; probably roots of some asters.
