Butterflies and Moths of North America

collecting and sharing data about Lepidoptera

Be a BAMONA Regional Coordinator

The Butterflies and Moths of North America (BAMONA) project utilizes regional coordinators to review sightings submitted by members of the public. We are always interested in recruiting knowledgeable lepidopterists who are willing to verify submissions. We have a significant need for individuals who are willing to review records in certain regions listed on this page. If you have training or a strong background in identification, please browse the lists for your state or region. We are looking for both butterfly and moth coordinators for these regions, unless otherwise indicated.

Use the contact form to indicate your interest. Please include your name and contact information, describe your training and/or background, and identify which region and grouping you wish to serve. We look forward to hearing from you!

Caterpillars!

We are always in need of more individuals who can review caterpillar submissions. Please let us know if you have an interest in helping identify caterpillars in any region of North America.
