Sighting Record 1175120

Observation Notes:
Time: ~7:00 p.m. Weather: Warm, fairly calm, and mostly cloudy. Habitat: Drainage canal supporting common milkweed, large trees, and various other vegetation. Notes: Despite the clouds and time of day, a small Monarch was actively flying near the canal, and eventually landed about 8 ft. up in one of the trees, allowing for a close look to confirm that it wasn't a Viceroy. I may have seen one other Monarch in the distance, but I don't know for sure.

Habitat: Short-cut field of morning glories, mallow, dandelions, grass, and various other weeds. Sighting Record 1144885

Observation Notes:
This butterfly was perched next to Soldier Creek in Sioux County Nebraska. Based on the field marks it seems to be a Mylitta Crescent but seems to be out of range so I was hoping someone with more experience could verify that that's what this is. I'm just beginning to learn butterflies. Sorry for the image quality, it was taken with my phone.
