Identification: Forewing pale gray with whitish and tan shading; lines sharp, thin, black. Hindwing pink, rarely yellow, with black bands; inner black band even, not reaching inner margin. Hindwing fringe whitish and wide.
Wing Span: 6-7.5 cm.
Life History:
Flight: June-September.
Caterpillar Hosts: Poplars and willows.
