Observation Notes:
Our porch light was left on the night before and may have attracted it. It is extremely hot today about 85-95 degrees Fahrenheit by mid day with a light breeze. This area is shaded by an overhang. The moth was beautiful and about 4 inches wide by 3 1/4 inches long from antenna to tail. It was very aware of any presence but didn’t take off and seemed to be trying to stay out of the heat. The wings looked weathered, tinged with brown at the edges like a withering flower.

Observation Notes:
Beautiful, seemed to want to blend in with the brick on the exterior of our home. It was in an area that was shaded during the day. I was surprised it was here in Tulsa County, OK, USA. Your most recent sightings are in Canada or NE United States. It was cooler this week around 65–69 degrees Farenheit at night into early morning and would reach a high of 85-87 degrees F. It wasn’t disturbed by our going in and out of the house. It must have left sometime late evening-early morning, as I didn’t see it the next morning.
