Observation Notes: 
Seen nectaring on sweetspire shrub (that was next to some salvia, purple smoke tree shrubs, & some globe arborvitaes) under a Copper River Birch tree near the koi pond at the garden center I work at. Pretty much stayed on the sweetspire and let me get very close to it. Size: From abdomen to wingtip about 1". Weather: 78 degrees, 75% humidity, cloudy skies.

Seen flying around a group of shrubs at the garden center I work at: sweetspire, some salvia, small purple smoke trees and globe arborvitaes (under a Copper River Birch tree near the koi pond) during the humid afternoon, nectaring on the sweetspire shrub. Several other butterflies were also flying around (many Red Admirals and a Gray Hairstreak). Size: 2.5" wingspan, maybe a little bigger. Weather: 78 degrees, 75% humidity, cloudy skies.

Seen on Salvia at garden center I work at. Second one photographed on sweetspire shrub. At least seven Red Admirals were flying about the area (along with an American Lady and Gray Hairstreak). The salvia was next to some sweetspire shrubs, some small royal purple smoke trees, and some globe arborvitae shrubs, all under a Copper River Birch tree, next to a koi pond. They flew about and landed among all of these plants pretty much all afternoon. Sizes: Ranged between 2" - 2.5". Weather: 78 degrees, 75% humidity, cloudy skies.

Saw this duskywing flying around the path my dog and I were walking on at the dog park, adjacent to an open field to the northeast and open woods to the southwest. Flew around then landed on a dead piece of bromegrass and stayed for about a minute. Size: Approx. 1-1.25". Weather: Approx. 85 degrees, partly sunny skies (sun was beginning to set), 60% humidity.

Observation Notes: 
Saw this Sulphur flying around a grassy field about 25' away from a large community vegetable garden behind a small wooded area. Came near the mowed path with grass clippings that was fairly soggy from rain yesterday. Pretty pale, couldn't ever see its wings opened. I *think* (?) it might have been the white female form Clouded Sulphur, but am not sure. Size: Approx. 2" wingspan. Weather: 58 degrees, partly sunny, 60% humidity.
