Butterflies and Moths of North America

collecting and sharing data about Lepidoptera

Who are the regional coordinators, and what do they do?

The coordinators are expert lepidopterists who provide essential quality control. They volunteer their time to review photographs submitted by citizen scientists before we add their records to the database. Go to the acknowledgments page to see a list of coordinators, or learn more about the data we collect.

Do you have a photograph or a specimen of a butterfly or moth or caterpillar? Learn how to submit your sighting so we can add it to the database.
