Observation Notes: 
This a male hairstreak of a unidentified species. Taken in the warm sunny early afternoon in Falmouth, ME at the edge of a field. He postured and rubbed his hindwings against his forewings while on white flowers close to the ground. The wingspan was a little over an inch. A female nearby caught his attention and he started displaying near her. Shortly their after the pair flew away into the tall grass.
