Identification: Similar to Alypia octomaculata but note dorsal yellow spots or bands on some abdominal segments. Inner yellow spot on forewing narrower and more like a crossband.
Wing Span: 2.5-3.5 cm.
Life History:
Flight: January-May.
Caterpillar Hosts: Japanese persimmon.
