Stigmella rhamnicola (Braun, 1916)
Family: Nepticulidae
Subfamily: Nepticulinae
Identification: Easily recognized by the differently colored fasciae and white thorax. The collar consists of lamellar scales, which shows it is a Stigmella.
Wing Span: 0.45-0.55 cm

Caterpillar Hosts: Larvae mine the leaves of buckthorn, including Rhamnus cathartica and Rhamnus lanceolata.
