Stamnodes coenonymphata (Hulst, 1900)

Family: Geometridae
Subfamily: Larentiinae
Identification: Tanner Matson is working on a North American revision of Stamnodes as part of his PhD dissertation; Glenn Fine's specimen "is a less common form of Stamnodes coenonymphata. This species is extremely variable in color but underside pattern elements are fairly consistent, genitalia foolproof. It is so variable that at least four forms were formally described in the early 20th century."
