Setagrotis vocalis (Grote, 1879)

Subfamily: Noctuinae
Identification: Forewing with thin black basal streak and thin black lines nearly outlining the orbicular spot which fills the space between the orbicular and reniform spot. Outer veins often with black streaking. Hindwings are shiny white.
Wing Span: 2.8-3.4 cm
Life History:
Flight: June to September.
Caterpillar Hosts: Unknown
Adult Food:
Range: Alberta to California and New Mexico.

Taxonomy Notes: Setagrotis vocalis (Grote, 1879) is elevated from former subspecies status under of 10975 Setagrotis pallidicollis (Grote, 1880), MONA Fascicle 27.3: 184.
