Identification:

Wing Span: 2.5-3.0 cm (male), 1.95-2.1 cm (female)

Life History:

Flight: Mostly April and May with a few recorded from March and June.

Caterpillar Hosts: Unknown

Adult Food:

Habitat: Associated with plant communities characterized by mosses and calciphilous, herbaceous plants that grow on shallow alkaline soils.

Range: Quebec to Alberta in Canada and from Colorado to Washington in the United States.
