Taxonomy Notes: Donacaula dispersellus (Robinson, 1870), listed as a subspecies of 5316 Donacaula melinellus (Clemens, 1860) in the 1983 Hodges Checklist, is raised to full species status in Martinez (2010) (dissertation).
