Family: Noctuidae
Subfamily: Acontiinae
Identification: Basal area and terminal line as in Black-dotted Spragueia, but no round reniform spot. Note long, black median dash which widens toward apex. Dash may be solid or interrupted by orange am. and pm. lines, or by pm. line only. Hindwing dark gray.
Wing Span: 1.2-1.8 cm.
Life History:
Flight: June-September.
Caterpillar Hosts: Bindweed.

Range: Southeastern Massachusetts to Florida, west to Kansas and Texas.
