Identification: Scalloped outer edge of white area on forewing. Hindwing yellow with a broad, even brown border from apex to anal angle.
Wing Span: 2.6-3.5 cm.
Life History:
Flight: June - August.
Caterpillar Hosts: Evening-primrose, grapes, hibiscus, and willow-herbs.

Habitat:
Range: Maine and southern Ontario to Florida, west to Minnesota and Texas.
Conservation:
NCGR: G5 - Demonstrably secure globally, though it may be quite rare in parts of its range, especially at the periphery.
