Identification: Forewing ash-gray to brown with faint whitish lines; dark brown patch on inner margin near base; larger paler brown median patch bordered by costa and PM line; markings reduced or absent in some specimens
Wing Span: 1.2-2.2 cm
Life History:
Flight: July to November
Caterpillar Hosts: Roots of goldenrod (Solidago spp.)
Adult Food:
Range: Nova Scotia to Florida, west to Texas, north to Manitoba.

Taxonomy Notes: Pelochrista dorsisignatana was formerly placed in the genus Eucosma, Gilligan et al. (2013), Zootaxa, 3746(2): 301-337.
