Identification: Forewing mostly orangish-brown with short pale oblique streaks along costa, and pale whitish T or Y shape projecting from outer margin into subterminal area near anal angle; hindwing pale gray.
Wing Span: About 1.6 cm
Life History:
Flight: Adults have been recorded from early June to late September on Block Island, RI, possibly with a single extended flight peaking in August with highly asynchronous emergences.
Caterpillar Hosts: Larvae feed on goldenrod (Solidago spp.)

Range: New Brunswick to Florida, west to New Mexico, north to Illinois and Ontario.
