Epirrhoe alternata (Müller, 1764)

Subfamily: Larentiinae
Identification: Wings have wide white st. bands. Basal, median, and terminal areas of forewing gray, median and upper st. areas sometimes darker gray. Forewing discal spot a vertical black oval. Hindwing paler.
Wing Span: 1.9-2.5 cm.
Life History:
Flight: May-September.
Caterpillar Hosts: Bedstraws (Gallium species).
