Subfamily: Macroglossinae
Identification: Similar to Darapsa myron but larger; foretibia spined. Forewing reddish brown with purplish shading. Pm. line straight or nearly so, not as curved as in myron.
Wing Span: 5.7-7.5 cm.
Life History:
Flight: April-August; two broods.
Caterpillar Hosts: Azaleas, blueberries, sour-gum, viburnums, and other plants.
