Crambus agitatellus Clemens, 1860

Subfamily: Crambinae
Identification: Forewing squared as in other Crambus species; tiny black dots among silvery scales along terminal line. Lower half of forewing deep yellow, upper half white, crossed by sharply angled brown pm. line and thin, rounded st. line. Blackish streaks extend from pm. line to outer margin. Hindwing white with gray shading.
Wing Span: 1.7-2.2 cm.
Life History:
Flight: June-August.
Caterpillar Hosts: Grasses and other low plants.

Range: Maine to West Virginia, west to Indiana, Kentucky, and Texas.
