Besma endropiaria (Grote & Robinson, 1867)

Subfamily: Ennominae
Identification: Wings shiny, pale straw yellow, slightly translucent, faintly striated and veined with pale brown. Forewing has three brown lines; am. line often connected to pm. line by a short crossbar near inner margin. St. line thin, rounded, fading away below midpoint.
Wing Span: 3-3.6 cm.
Life History:
Flight: May-June.
Caterpillar Hosts: Sugar maple.

Range: Nova Scotia and Quebec to North Carolina, west to Manitoba and Missouri.
