Identification: forewing black, liberally sprinkled with bright blue spots and blotches
Wing Span: 1.5 cm
Life History:
Flight: adults fly from May to August
Caterpillar Hosts: larvae feed on leaves of Lysimachia ciliata(Fringed Loosestrife) and perhaps other Lysimachia species
Adult Food:
Habitat: wet prairie, damp flood plains
Range: southern Great Lakes area (recorded from Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Ontario
