Observation notes: These two skippers were flying around the butterfly bush ignoring one another. A dragonfly came buzzing at me from our nearby pond. These two Silver-spotted Skippers then got up next to one another overlapping and fluttered their wings. It seemed they were trying to look bigger. I got dozens of photos of them in this position. They were not mating. The dragonfly left the vicinity and they once again resumed their singular foraging.
