Observation notes: I found him on my way into work after a heavy rain. He had no apparent injuries and looked young and vivid. I moved him to a safer place away from the walkway, and under some protection from the rain. He stayed all day, and had left by the next morning. This was the largest moth I have ever seen, with a wingspan nearly 5".
