Observation notes: I found a caterpillar in lettuce. I thought it was a Cabbage White Bufferfly then fed it. After 3 days, it turned into a chrysalis and then two weeks after it transformed into the moth in the pictures.
My concern is I don't know where the lettuce originated. I live in Ontario, Canada and often lettuce is imported from California. I'd like to release it but I'm not sure if I can.
