Observation notes: While reading during early morning hours (dark outside) heard a large insect flying against window screen, perhaps attracted to light. Later that morning found the photographed moth dead, appearing chewed on by animals. Nights have been cool - in general unseasonably cold after a very long winter and delayed spring-like weather. Conditions previous 24 hours: no precipitation, blue sky, breezy.
