Observation notes: hot day near seasonal creek, slight over cast but mostly sunny. mule fat, willow buckwheat, live oak trees grasses, sage scrub, riparian habitat, sycamores with mistletoe, we get some great purple hairstreaks in this area also. kept sunning and going to nectar, when startled it would just land again near by. might be a male with a territory?
