Observation notes: I was working in my flower garden around dusk when I saw the strangest looking hummingbird I had seen in my life. It didn't dart away when I got close and had an extremely long "beak". I noticed it never once went for my hummingbird feeder, instead opting for my petunias. I also saw it bouncing across my porch ceiling as a moth would. After some internet research I concluded it was a "hummingbird moth", but am curious as to the specific species. I live in Albemarle County, Virginia. I couldn't pinpoint my particular moth on the species your website lists for my county. Please help!
