Date notes: We first saw the green spiky caterpillar on July 10, 2012. It 'hatched' out of the cocoon on June 26, 2013.

Observation notes: We also found two other cocoons on a dead branch of our Crab Apple Tree. However, they have not "hatched" yet. We also have several Apple trees on our property. This particular decided to make its cocoon in between our two garage doors!
