Observation notes: This sphinx was taken at light at the Coronado Village Elementary School about 10pm; the April date is of interest because this species is thought to be univoltine (July-Aug)in its range, at least in AZ; this seems less likely in south-central TX since there is a record from Medina Co. in July, and now this one in April (I wish there were dates for the original records on BAMONA), suggesting 2 broods in this area, or a very long single brood. Specimen is in my collection.
