Observation notes: Two of the same species would visit flowers and then sit on the ground basking in the sun.

Coordinator notes: Looks like a male of this species because it has a very large eye spot showing on the under forewing. The spot is smaller on C. oetus and the underwings on that species are not as well marked with lighter scales as this one shows.
