Observation notes: This caterpillar was found in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on August 26, 2012. I brought it home to show my boys and put it in a terrarium food container. Within hours it started making a cocoon; within two days it is fully covered in it's cocoon; and now the cocoon has hardened.
