Observation notes: We found this moth on the bush outside our home on a warm spring afternoon in June. We believe it just came out of the cocoon because the empty cocoon was close to where she was on the bush. She climbed around a litte on the branches and opened and closed her wings several times but mostly stayed very still. We think it's a female due to the shape of the abdomen and the antenna but we're not sure.
