Observation notes: It was a beautiful sunny day - mid 70's - when I spotted this moth resting on a hydrangea leaf in my back yard. The hydrangea plant sits in the shade of a Bloodgood Japanese Maple with vinca vine ground cover.The moth was motionless - and gone after a couple of hours.
