Observation notes: My daughter discovered the cocoon on our Willow tree this past Fall. We let it be over the winter. In early April we decided to put it in our butterfly habitat and wait for it to emerge. We were predicting it was a Luna Moth, but we were apparently wrong. Cecropia Moth emerged from cocoon today. We believe it is a female.
