Observation notes: We found this guy in our school's parking lot, heading under a car tire. Not knowing what he was but not wanting him to be a grease spot or a meal, we picked him up to admire him. He definitely enjoyed his time on my camera case - tucked his head under as if to sleep and did NOT want to let go of the fabric. We finally persuaded him to disembark onto a sunflower, where he was more or less camouflaged, if such a thing is possible for a creature punctuated with yellow, orange and BLUE! We made sure he was under cover of a leaf to protect from airborne predators.
