Everlasting Tebenna Moth
Tebenna gnaphaliella

Observation date: May 17, 2009
Submitted by: Alan Harvey
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Nectaring on an Ilex glabra. Tiny, jumpy motions; tips of wings curled down so that iridescent black marks faced backwards instead of dorsally. This, along with its behavior, gave it an uncanny resemblance to a jumping spider.
