Observation notes: I'm not usually a big insect person, though I've certainly encountered some curious things in my garden and identified them for fun. This guy/girl? was just too beautiful not to pay attention to. Supposedly these months come out in May at the earliest (and May it is!) but normally reside north of here. I had to wonder if this year's unusual weather brought him south.
