Coordinator notes: Your tentative ID is correct...you have both a female (at top) and a male photos. Approaching timberline (or above) you will likely not see any other large Fritillary other than the Mormon and it is normally the smallest of them. The females are typically heavier black dorsally and duskier ventrally. Mike
