Observation notes: I WANT TO NOTE THAT I HAVE BEEN VISITED BY THIS BUTTERFLY THAT I HAVE NAMED SUGAR BEAR, FOR 7 YEARS IN A ROW NOW! IF YOU GO BACK TO ONE OF MY SIGHTING POSTS Sighting Number: 1338583 1339576 I EXPLAINED MY CONNECTION TO THIS BUTTERLFY. OBVIOUSLY, IT CAN'T BE THE SAME ONE, BUT I CALL THIS BUTTERFLY AND SHE LANDS ON MY FINGER, IF I AM SAD, SHE IS AROUND MUCH MORE. I HAVE VIDEO PROOF, EVEN TODAY, MY FRIEND CAME TO VISIT ME, AND I TOOK PICTURES WITH THEM BOTH. I TALK WITH IT, SING WITH IT, IT IS VERY COMFORTING. Sugar Bear has been around, today especially I was feeling a little sad, so I went outside, and there she was. We talked, listened to music and we played out favorite song, Someone Saved My Life Tonight, by Elton John. she sat on my finger the whole time while I sang and swayed to the song, then we talked, and she just listened!!!...then my friend Mark called, he was in the area and stopped by cause he said I sounded a litte down..she wouldn't go on his finger, but was trying to land on his hat.. Something calming comes over me when I connect with the butterfly....like every little thing is going to be alrigh

Coordinator notes: Cool story! Your “she” actually looks like a he, and you’re correct, despite the crazy coincidence, it is definitely not the same skipper every year. They typically only live 1-3 weeks in the wild. So, you’re probably seeing the great great great great (etc.) offspring of your original friend! -Jeff Gesell
