Observation notes: A new butterfly for me. Also a new location. It was a sunny day. Could have been as many as two of this species. INaturalist has changed the name to Dog Star Skipper (Limochores Sonora). This appears to be a very underreported butterfly in Mendocino County. Seems to be the earliest date reported. Location is a coastal pond that has just opened up with a trail.
