Observation notes: My son found it outside, near some elderberry bushes, a redbud, and an oak tree. It was windy out, but the weather was nice overall. The wings were already in rough condition when it was found. We were very careful with handling the moth, letting her climb onto our hands without touching her wings as much as possible. We released the moth while taking these pictures.
