Observation notes: These and Vanessa are sipping nectar from our plum tree warm day 70 mostly sunny . Other butterflies in yard umber, cabbage, Anise, many monarchs, Lorquin, Cloudless, Large Orange, Gulf Frits., Gray hairsteaks , we have to check out all the small butterflies because Silver Banded may show up some day. Several sightings in San Diego County. We have the host plant Ballon Vine. Marine blue and Gray hairsteak both use it hope you are doing great and getting out. Looking forward to your field report on big pine small dotted blue. Eager to head north but looking like a cold week.
