Observation notes: Seen feeding on milkvetch along the trail about 1 mile beyond the Boy Scout Camp gate in the Lockwood Valley. Is this the Sierra Madre Mountains Metalmark?

Coordinator notes: Yes, this is the Sierra Madre population currently being called davenporti, but in series these are quite distinctively more blackish and should eventually get a name of their own...I should know, I'm Ken Davenport By the way, you discovered a new colony.
