Observation notes: Individual taking nutrients from moist mud at the bottom of deep cracks in adobe sediment around ponded water behind the USACOE Flood Control Dam east of I-25/Telshor Road in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The afternoon was warm, with breezy to gusting wind, and under high clouds.
