Observation date: October 12, 2025

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I've seen more Monarchs in this area this year than I have in the past. Most of them don't pose long enough for me to get a photo. This is one of two that I saw during one hike up and down Volcano Road.

Coordinator notes: they may have had a good year in your area (and north) due to good rains. all are in migration now. I was at Clayton Lake last week and in late afternoon watched a few cross the lake, southbound, and roost in trees on the south shore. should be decent nectar resources for them going south from there.
