Observation notes: Lots of rain the previous day (Sept 23). Sunny, calm, temp. in low to mid 50s F. Very surprised to see this fresh male clumsily flitting about, then land to soak in the sun. Only one seen.

Coordinator notes: Correct ID...hard to mistake a Monarch for anything else. Newly emerged they tend to be a bit lethargic until their wings get fully stiff and it warms up. Hopefully it doesn't (or didn't) get killed out on I-25. Mike
