Coordinator notes: Your suggested ID is correct...look like a somewhat worn female. The species name shifted from tullia (ochracea) to california after genetics determined the two species are separate species-level taxa. The former is in the Palaearctic (the Old World) but sparingly does occur at high northern latitude in the American arctic...a confusing group of butterflies in North America. Mike
