Observation notes: Found amongst other pollinators on hydrangea paniculata flowers. Very small approx. size of an adult thumbnail. Fluttering around inflorescence. Very sunny afternoon. Pale blue interior of wing, no noticeable orange markings. Very pale grey exterior wing. Was unable to capture wings open.

Coordinator notes: Karners aren’t found in this location and you’re correct, there would be orange spots lining the submarginal regions on a Karner. Lack of visible HW marginal fringe checkering would go against a Northern Azure. -Jeff Gesell
